It’s a new year and there are two big ways for the mobile lab community to get involved. From leadership opportunities to our biggest in-person gathering of the year, 2026 is already building momentum.
Bring the MLC into the Next Era: Join the Board of Directors
MLC board elections are officially underway, beginning with self-nominations from anyone ready to help lead this growing and impactful community.
Serving on the MLC Board of Directors is a deeply rewarding experience that supports both personal and professional growth. Board members develop leadership skills, expand their professional networks and collaborate with passionate peers who are advancing mobile STEM and outreach across the country.

Serving on the Board is also a unique opportunity to help steward a community that plays a vital role in expanding access to hands-on learning.
Self-nomination deadline: February 13

Save the Date: 2026 MLC Annual Conference in Denver
We’re also thrilled to announce the MLC Annual Conference will take place in Denver, Colorado, from Sunday, June 28 through Wednesday, July 1.
Each year, the conference brings together mobile lab leaders, educators, partners and advocates from across the country to share ideas, explore challenges and celebrate the unique value of mobile learning.
Attendees can expect:
· Inspiring keynote speakers
· Hands-on workshops and practical sessions
· Opportunities to share programs and success stories
· Dedicated time to connect with peers who understand the world of mobile labs
Whether you’re a longtime member or just getting involved, the MLC Annual Conference is the best place to build relationships, gain fresh ideas and help shape the future of our field.
Additional details about registration, hotel and the conference agenda will be shared soon. Make sure to follow us on social media and check back on our conference webpage.
Between board leadership opportunities and our gathering in Denver, we hope you’ll consider getting more involved with the MLC.
