The Mobile Lab Community CONNECTed... What's Next?

A note from MLC Board Director David Garbe:

Dear members of the MLC community,

Happy fall everyone! Well, we did it! The MLC pulled off the first-ever virtual conference MLC Connects. To all those who attended the two-day event, thank you for joining us! We hope the conference was both valuable and fun, providing useful content and ample networking opportunities. Whether you were a new member looking to make connections and learn best practices or a more seasoned organization hoping to get back in touch with our community and extend your understanding of new concepts, there was something for everyone! Check your inboxes for post-conference resources, attendee virtual tours and a conference report.

It takes a village... or a coalition

I’d like to thank the MLC Board of Directors, MLC annual conference planning committee, conference speakers and community volunteers for all of their hard work putting together such a wonderful program. This event simply would not have been possible without their help. I'd also like to thank the MLC community members who joined us, your participation and contributions provided valuable conversation and thought throughout the conference.

What's next?

As 2021 winds down, you might be asking “what’s next”?!?! As we begin preparing for the 2022 conference (save the date for next July in Colorado Springs, CO!) and providing events that ensure value for our members, we encourage you to get involved.

If you’re not a member yet, we hope you consider joining our unique niche of a coalition. MLC members, we’d love for you to consider running for a position on the Board of Directors or volunteering for a committee. Keep an eye out for election information soon or reach out to one of the Board Members for more information.

We hope you have a wonderful fall and a happy holiday season. Hopefully, the pandemic situation is starting to improve in your region. Whether you’re still running virtual programs or back in the classroom, we hope there is light at the end of the tunnel. As always, the MLC is always here to help. Do not hesitate to reach out should you need anything. We look forward to seeing you at a future MLC virtual event and once again, encourage you to get more involved in our community. Take care!

Sincerely,
