MLC Member Kudos in the New Year

With the first month of the year almost at a close, we've noticed many of our members coming out of the "new year gate" packed with exciting accomplishments! Let's take a second to pat our fellow MLC members on the back for the numerous achievements awarded (so far) in 2024!

Member Highlights:

MLC member Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming (GSMW) received a wonderful grant from the Otto Bremer Trust. “The high utilization of GSMW financial aid is evidence that girls in Montana lack access to enrichment opportunities, safe spaces for learning and growing, and opportunities for mentorship and a sense of community,” said Rachael Bahre, Grants and Marketing Manager for GSMW. “We are incredibly grateful to have received a $40,000 grant from the Otto Bremer Trust to support girls in Montana.” Congratulations to GSMW!

A fantastic gift was awarded to MLC Member STEAM Truck from the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs and Wells Fargo. They were given a new case of Spheros which are "little robotic wonders" and always a hit with hands-on programming. What a great gift!

A big congratulations to MLC Member MoLab, Inc. for receiving their grant award from All Points North Foundation. MoLab is providing innovative, project-based solar science education to sixth-grade students at eight Title 1 in their region. We love to see the commitment you continue to foster toward educating middle school students in underserved areas!

Congrats to long-standing MLC Member Learning Undefeated and Port Partnership for winning the AAPA Lighthouse Award.  “We are very honored to be recognized by our partner at the Port of Corpus Christi and the American Association of Port Authorities. The PORT-Able Lab partnership has served thousands of middle and high school students across Texas’ gulf coast area with hands-on STEM learning and maritime career education,” said Janee Pelletier, EVP, Communications & Government Affairs.

The stage is set for more accomplishments in the months ahead from our mobile lab community! Please do not hesitate to reach out to the MLC if you need our support.
